Candy Aung

Associate

Candy is a registered architect with extensive experience in design, documentation and contract administration of a wide variety of residential, commercial, institutional, correctional, educational and recreational projects. In the last decade, she has successfully led large teams of consultants in the delivery of multi-million dollar
government projects.
Candy is familiar with delivering quality projects within the budget and time constraints. She is organized, thorough and has excellent time management skills, which she is able to apply to all aspects of a project from its initial inception through to project completion.
Candy has the ability to work with a variety of consultants, contractors, client groups and other design professionals and is also a good listener. She understands the importance of collaboration which leads to successful projects that meet and frequently exceed client needs and expectations.
Candy is currently the secretary of the Association for Learning Environments (formerly CEFPI), SA Chapter. She is also tutoring at School of Architecture and Built Environment, The University of Adelaide.
Candy served as Chair for the New Architects Group (NAG), whose aim is to provide a responsive social and information sharing network that addresses the concerns and interests of recent graduates & emerging architects. She was also Chair of the Emerging Architects & Graduates Network (EmAGN) and a councillor on the Australian Institute of Architects, SA Chapter Council.
Candy was awarded 2016 SA Emerging Architect Prize by the Australian Institute of Architects in recognition of her contribution to architectural practice, education, design excellence and community involvement which advances the profession’s role in the public arena.
