Rachel Hur
Project Manager, ArchitectVictorian Health Building Authority
Rachel is a registered architect and has been working in the industry since 2012. She is currently working at the VHBA in Environmental Sustainability within the Technical Advisory Service, guiding sustainability outcomes for health infrastructure projects across Victoria.
Outside of her work at VHBA, Rachel is the business development manager at the Hemp Building Company, providing consultancy for architectural design service and speciality advice on the use of hempcrete as a building material. The company also supplies and builds hempcrete homes and buildings across Victoria and NSW.
She has an interest in regenerative design with a strong focus in rehabilitative and therapeutic spaces. She has specialised in correctional architecture, and also has experience in education, residential/multi-residential, aged-care and commercial architecture.
Outside of industry, Rachel is a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters as a Mentor in the Young Achievers Program. She is also a Mentor at UniMelb School of Design and is an accredited member of the Living Future Institute Australia.
