Associate - Urban DesignHansen Partnership
Gerhana Waty is an Urban Design Director at Hansen Partnership with over 14 years experience.
Gerhana’s passion in shaping our urban environments is driven by her architectural background and her people-centric focus.
By embracing a car-free lifestyle for over two decades, Gerhana recognised an opportunity to create positive change in our street design and placemaking, which led her to create the Public Realm Oriented Urban Design (PROUD) approach. Gerhana champions pedestrian-oriented place creation, as demonstrated in her award-winning work developing Streets for People for Darebin Council.
Gerhana is also a regular collaborator at the University of Melbourne and RMIT as a Design Studio Leader and as a guest lecturer.
