Bickerton Masters - Sydney Studio Leader

As an architect, my experience is broad across all scales of practice, from a small four person practice to major internationals. Over the past 30 years I have worked as a designer, detailer, interior designer, project manager, team, and practice leader in Australia and the UK.

Throughout all of this is my talent for invigorating studio culture, acute eye for design detail and ability to see the bigger picture, whilst attending to the specific task at hand.

I am passionate about how we design sustainable and inclusive spaces and places for the future multi-generational workforce and population, exploring avenues for shared working, living, learning, and support.

I am currently co-Chair of the NSW AIA Practice of Architecture Committee, and also sit on the National Practice Committee. I have been a juror in the NSW Architecture Awards, including Chair of Multi-Residential and Urban Design in 2020 as well as the Best in Practice Prize, and jury member for the Small Project and Residential Alts and Adds in 2021.

I have published articles in the Architecture Bulletin, and have facilitated design review processes in studios and creative forums.
