Adapt at developing creative design solutions for historic sites (contemporary or restoration, whilst maintaining the historic integrity of a place), has extensive training in the materials science of preserving traditional materials, and in adapting historic buildings for improved energy performance.
Alternate architectural member of the Heritage Council Victoria. An active member of ICOMOS Australia, National Trust (Vic) and the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ), being involved as an expert member on a number of technical committees which focus on the area of heritage and ecological sustainability. Current and past International Specialised Skills Institute fellow and Melbourne University PhD candidate researching “heritage and sustainability”.
