Amelyn Ng is a Singaporean-Australian architect, cartoonist, and Assistant Professor of Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Her work explores architecture as media; environmental matter as information. Working primarily through exhibitions and research projects, her creative work bridges digital and physical mediums in exploring counter-narratives and material politics of the built environment. Her work has appeared in Providence, Prague, Shenzhen, Berlin, Venice, Houston, Singapore, and Melbourne. Her writing can be found in publications such as e-flux, PLAT, Cultural Politics, and the Journal of Architectural Education.
Before academia, Amelyn worked professionally as a designer for Fieldwork in Melbourne, and remains a registered (non-practising) Victorian architect.
