Aileen Sage is the alter ego she created with Amelia Holliday in 2013 as a pseudonym for their partnership that includes practice, research and education. In 2016, Aileen Sage produced the project 'The Pool: Architecture, Culture and Identity in Australia' as co-creative directors for the Australian Exhibition at the Venice Architecture Biennale. The project combined multiple creative industries, academics, technical and engineering experts and nationally significant cultural commentators. The publication produced for the exhibition, won the Adrian Ashton Prize for Architectural Writing and Criticism and has been shortlisted for The Cornish Family Prize for Art and Design Publishing. The radio stories produced for the exhibition have been featured on national public radio and are held as a resource on the ABC Radio National website.
