Grace Mortlock

Grace has been a director of Other Architects since 2016, building on several years of experience as a project architect. She has extensive knowledge of construction, codes, materials and detailing, and is expert in completing projects on time and within budget. Mortlock recently oversaw the construction of a house in the Southern Highlands utilising a prefabricated and highly-insulated system. Other projects include the renovation and extension of an existing bungalow, a coastal viewing pavilion, memorial ash gardens for Northern Metropolitan Cemetery and new apartment building in Bellevue Hill. In her previous role at Dunn and Hillam Architects she oversaw the renovation of Sydney’s Artspace Gallery and the completion of numerous residential projects.
In addition to her architectural expertise, Grace is a highly-regarded architecture and design curator with experience engaging with large and diverse public audiences. She has an ongoing teaching role within the Master of Architecture program at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and is a regular radio guest of 2UE and ABC Radio National. In 2018 she was Architect in Residence at the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Wellington, New Zealand. She was a 2017 Architeam Awards juror and recipient of the 2014 Ascham Leadership Scholarship for her architectural and curatorial accomplishments.
