Monica Earl is a founding director of Contreras Earl Architecture, and is trained in the fields of architecture and urban design. Contreras Earl Architecture is an emerging architecture and urban design studio focused on providing highly innovative contemporary design solutions across a range of scales and varying typologies. Prior to co-founding Contreras Earl Architecture, Monica worked for leading design-oriented firms in London, Sydney and Amsterdam including Foster + Partners, Carmody Groarke and Farshid Moussavi. Monica received the Royal Australian Institute of Architects Design Medal on graduation from the University of Sydney. She received the Frank Knox Fellowship to study at Harvard University, completing a Masters of Architecture and Urban Design (MAUD) at Harvard Graduate School of Design. She was a Research Assistant at Farshid Moussavi’s London office working on Farshid’s latest book ‘The Function of Style.’ Monica is a Registered Architect in New South Wales and Queensland.
