Curator / Architect / FilmmakerNew Architects Melbourne
Eugenia Tan is the co-founder and curator of ‘New Architects Melbourne’ (NAM), a volunteer-based initiative which seeks to foster and encourage up and coming architectural and design studios. Since 2011, NAM has provided a platform for professionals to present their story, vision and sensibilities in an informal environment in front of peers and enthusiasts alike. To further extend this vision, ‘New Architects’ podcast (NAP) was launched in 2017, in collaboration with Open Creative Studio and presented by Daniel Moore. NAP features a set of in depth discussions with emerging architectural professionals, providing a deeper insight into the way that architecture is practised in Australia today.
Eugenia is also a registered architect. Since graduating from Deakin University in 2007, she has worked at some of Australia’s esteemed architectural practices such as John Wardle Architects, Breathe Architecture and Candalepas Associates where she was an Associate. She is currently undertaking studies in Film and TV at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
