Penny Craswell

Penny Craswell is an editor, writer and curator with a specialisation in design and architecture. She is Creative Strategy Associate at the Australian Design Centre (ADC) and Co-Director of Sydney Craft Week, ADC’s annual festival of craft. With a background in design magazines, including Editor of Artichoke magazine and Deputy Editor of Indesign magazine, she currently runs The Design Writer blog, is writing a book on Australian architecture and design, and is also a Curator of TEDx Sydney. In 2017, Penny received the Dean’s Award for Research Excellence for her Masters of Design at UNSW Art and Design researching design narratives. She has substantial public speaking experience and has been a judge of design and architecture awards, including as the Houses Jury of the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Architecture Awards (2016).
