My expertise (and passion) advocates for transitioning the buildings we already have to new purposes and markets. My latest research has developed a new method to quantify & visualise vacancy types in office building populations. The analysis is used to evaluate potential urban strategies to pump new life into quietened CBDs.
I enjoy working across built environment disciplines - architects and planners, surveyors and construction managers, real-estate professionals and policymakers. I work across LGAs/state government, practice and academia.
My background is as an architect in practice (healthcare sector lead & adaptive reuse of commercial & industrial heritage to residential). I lecture at universities, coordinate architecture & planning education courses, particularly adaptive reuse & brand reposition, NCC construction regulation, urban planning policy & undergraduate research design.
