Sophie Solomon is principal of ssd-studio, a Sydney-based, design led architecture and interior design practice, with twenty years of experience in the Industry.

Each project completed has helped to formulate the philosophies of the practice, from the concept driven designs through to the practicalities of construction. A collaborative approach with every individual involved in the project has helped to foster good relationships and positive experiences within a typically challenging process.

Sophie has contributed to a number of award-winning projects, recognised for their positive enhancement of the built environment through innovation and design excellence.

Sophie completed her architecture degree at UTS Sydney with First Class Honours, is a Registered Architect and a member of the Australian Institute of Architects.

Within the Institute Sophie actively promotes excellence in urban design through her ongoing engagement and contribution to the Built Environment Committee. Sophie has been involved in tutoring both Design and Professional Practice to Architecture students at the University of Sydney and UTS Sydney
