Vanessa Mooney
Associate DirectorMGS Architects
Vanessa is an architect and urban designer with MGS Architects. Since graduating from RMIT, Vanessa has accumulated diverse professional experience across a range of practice types and project typologies informing and enriching her urban design instincts and knowledge. She has taught at a number of Universities including University of Queensland and RMIT in both urban design and architecture. Through her own studies she has investigated design at the edge of a city where land-use, built form, and open space collide with greenfield development.
In her role as Associate Director at MGS Architects, she has delivered a range of projects with a focus on urban design outcomes for complex and diverse community needs including precinct plans, campus masterplanning, urban design frameworks and strategic visioning.
As a member of the Australian Institute of Architects, Vanessa has been a Jury member for regional, residential and small projects categories and has contributed to publications including (inside) and architectureau.
Through this and other work she hopes to bring about change, creating the armature for clients and communities to realise truly enduring and valued urban and architectural design outcomes.
