Ella Leoncio

Ella is a Melbourne based architect and Principal at Chamberlain Architects. Focusing largely on residential projects, she leads front end design within the practice.

She is passionate about architecture's potential to support private rituals and enrich our daily experiences. Her process is client driven and collaborative.

Whilst residential architecture is her core practice, Ella enjoys exploring other practices to unlock new ways of thinking. She has been involved in installations, styling and set design. She received a Green Room Nomination for her set design for dance work “Island” with James Batchelor.

She is also a freelance writer and currently contributes regularly to Architecture Media publications. She was previously a regular contributor to the blog, Yellowtrace.

She has acted as a guest crit at both the University of Melbourne and RMIT in both Architecture and Interior Design. She was a scholar at the University of Melbourne where she completed her Bachelor of Architecture in 2006.
