Lee Hillam

Lee is co-director of Dunn & Hillam Architects and a former Senior Design Advisor for the NSW Office of the Government Architect.

Lee worked for Richard Leplastrier, Architect, and Jeffrey Broadfield and Associates as a carpenter and project manager before setting up as a sole practitioner in 1998 and forming Dunn & Hillam Architects with Ashley Dunn in 2001. Lee is an accomplished architect with exceptional skills in practice management, project management, site masterplanning, detailed design of beautiful and sustainable buildings, joinery and furniture. Lee has specialist expertise in heritage, childcare and cultural projects and coordinating projects in regional and remote areas.

Lee is a Board member for Southern Cross Community Housing working to provide Social Housing and Affordable Housing across the Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Snowy Monaro Local Government Areas.

While at the Government Architect NSW Lee worked to produce the Design Guide for Heritage, managed the Missing Middle Competition, developed the draft Design Excellence Competition guidelines, was a Chair of the State Design Review Panel and was a Juror for many design excellence competitions.

Lee currently is an invited Juror on City of Sydney Design Excellence Competitions.

Lee is a former Chair of the RAIA National Committee for Gender Equity.
