Design Architect (current at Gresley Abas)
Gresley Abas (Previously JCY Architects and Urban Designers)

I’m an architect with a long career working on many award winning civic, cultural, education/university and not for profit/social housing projects. I have lived my career alongside a love of travel, discovery and witnessing the awe of the wild places in our world on all seven continents as well as a love of painting and drawing which I practice whenever possible. My life, in which my career is entangled, is wrapped within a lifelong curiosity, a want to ‘know’ and wish to do so through collaboration, kindness, empathy and respect.

Most of my career was as part of JCY Architects as an Associate (1994-2001), Director (2001-2014) and Design Principal (2014-2017). The practice was previously PCECJ (Cox group) where I was an Associate (1988-1994). I’m currently part of the Gresley Abas team.

Awards include: George Temple Poole, Architecture Medal, Steel Award, 2 x RIBA International Architecture Awards, 5 x Finalist: World Architecture Awards, over 20 AIA Awards plus many publications. In 2017 I was personally awarded a Black Moon Award for my architectural and cultural contributions to Edith Cowan University over the previous 25 years from Kurongkurl Katitjin - Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research.

Since 2019 I have been a member of the WA State Design Review Panel.
