AssociateFK
Freya Robinson is a Melbourne-based interior designer with over a decade of experience leading complex, high-performing projects across commercial, public, and workplace sectors. As an Associate at Fender Katsalidis, Freya manages multidisciplinary teams from concept to construction, translating strategy into distinct, future-focused spaces. She brings clarity and curiosity to every brief, thriving in roles that bridge design thinking and built outcomes.
Freya is a passionate advocate for inclusive, people-centred design. She regularly contributes to the public conversation as a speaker, panellist, and event host—including for Open House Melbourne, Melbourne Design Week, and Saturday In Design. She’s also the host of If These Walls, an upcoming podcast exploring queer narratives in spatial design, awarded an Alistair Swayn Foundation grant in 2024.
With over eight years of experience teaching at RMIT and Monash, Freya has delivered subjects from Professional Practice to Studio and Communications. She’s facilitated equity-focused workshops through RMIT’s 'I Belong' program, supporting underrepresented students in accessing design education. A former tutor and ongoing mentor, Freya is a confident critic and juror with a sharp eye for design and a deep respect for emerging voices.
She sits on the State Committee for Queers in Property, and is always looking for meaningful collaborations—whether as a speaker, jury member, tutor or contributor.
Freya holds a Bachelor of Interior Design (Hons) from RMIT, and completed strategic design studies at the Royal College of Art, London in 2023.
