Originally from London, Jenny is a lead, design-focused architect with extensive experience practising in both the UK and Australia. She believes in the value of collaborative design and the creation of authentic, people-oriented places and is a strong supporter of the adaptive re-use of existing buildings.
With over 25 years’ experience in architecture and planning, including 15 years serving on State and Local Government planning panels in South Australia, Jenny currently works as a Senior Associate at Swanbury Penglase Architects and is a recognised Accredited Professional (Planning Level 2). Throughout her career, she has delivered large, complex projects across Australia, the Pacific and Europe, spanning a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, heritage, defence, aged care and education.
Jenny has extensive board experience, having served as a member of the former Inner Metropolitan Development Assessment Commission, and as both Presiding Member and Ordinary Member on several Metropolitan Council Assessment Panels and Strategic Planning and Development Policy Panels. In 2020, she joined the State Planning Commission’s Heritage Sub-Committee and in 2023 was appointed as a member of the State Commission Assessment Panel.
Committed to ongoing professional development, Jenny holds a Specialist Certificate in designing for an ageing population from the University of Melbourne. She has tutored at the University of South Australia and has provided independent design review advice to local government.
