Mia is an architecture student currently studying a Master of Architecture at the University of Tasmania and has hands-on experience in bamboo and earth building. Her passion for design, fueled by a deep desire for sustainable solutions, led her to work at Bamboo U in Bali in 2023 as a designer, workshop organiser, and teacher. She has also been involved in bamboo and earth building projects in Vietnam and Australia.

Her research and design interests focus on bio-based materials and traditional building techniques. She was part of the 2024 National Superstudio winning team and aims to create architecture that is both ecologically and culturally responsive.
