A happy inhabitant of the Kanamaluka / Tamar Valley, working throughout the island of Lutruwita / Tasmania with Designful Studio and its sister business; Homeful by Designful. Both studios hold resourcefulness, equity and health at the forefront of their approach to engaging with the built fabric of the unceded lands of the palawa.

Rosie has worked with Homeful by Designful since its infancy and is passionate about providing reliable information, thoughtfully pre-designed, cost efficient and climate resilient small homes, ancillary dwellings and shacks to a community that may not otherwise be able to engage with an architectural service.

After enjoying time exploring theories of cultural landscape through an Honours thesis whilst completing her masters degree at UTas, Rosie side stepped into working within structural engineering drafting as well as working directly with builders to bolster her understanding of ‘how things go together’. Which has led to a current meld in practice of increasing an understanding of the nostalgic connections between people and landscape, alongside a strong focus of delivering affordable and robust housing.
