Catherine Startari is an architect and GHD Design Director with over 20 years of experience, and leads the building engineering team in Adelaide. Her diverse career includes international experience in Malaysia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, before returning to Adelaide in 2016 with GHD.

Over the past eight years, Catherine has focused extensively on Health and Defence sector projects in South Australia, leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex solutions both locally and interstate. Her career is defined by her adaptability and pursuit of diverse roles, seeking development opportunities.

Beyond her technical expertise, Catherine is passionate about contributing to the broader architectural community. She has held roles on the AIA Gender Equity Taskforce, AIA awards director and jury member, and currently branch vice-president of the Association of Consulting Architects (ACA) South Australia.
