Caroline Pidcock is an architect and Chair of the Living Future Institute Australia. She is also past president of the NSW AIA and ASBEC and industry representative on the Australian Building Codes Board and Bicycle NSW Board.

The lecture is followed by a half-day symposium – The Griffins’ Canberra: 100 years, on Friday 16 August, from 12.45pm until 4.30pm. This will see speakers from Australia, Germany and the US “examine the Griffin Ideas about architecture, landscape and planning, their American architectural designs, review the cultural impact of the Griffins on Australia during their lifetimes and beyond, and give a 21st-century international perspective on the urbanism of the Griffin plan for Canberra.”
